The black truffle (Tuber melanosporum in Latin and Perigord truffle in English), also known as truffle, is a kind of wild eating fungus that grows underground and has a rugged appearance.

Unlike mushrooms and other fungi, truffle spores are not carried by the wind, but by animals that eat the truffle. How to thaw a black truffle
1. Air thaw
Frozen black truffles generally only need to be partially thawed when used as food processing ingredients, so frozen black truffles can be air-thawed by placing them in a freezer crisper.
2. Thaw tap water
It is generally suitable for vacuum-packed frozen black truffles, and the thawed black truffles should be cooked and eaten completely, not thawed and frozen again, as this process will lead to the growth of bacteria.
The frozen Songxia can be thawed by dipping or spraying with tap water, but the temperature of the water used for water thawing can not exceed 20℃ without outer packaging.
Frozen black truffles should not be thawed directly in the water, otherwise the nutrients will leach from the truffle into the water, and will affect the texture and taste of the black truffle.
3. Microwave thawing
There is a microwave oven, but also available microwave thawing, this method of thawed black truffle quality is better than the air and water thawing method, and the operation is simple, fast, high efficiency.
